Knowledge gaining: Students will gain knowledge through the use of interactive websites. They will first access an interactive website that contains a video introducing animal adaptations. They will then access another website that links to specific information on different animals and their adaptations.
Knowledge organizing: Students will complete a graphic organizer that relates to the basic information presented on the introductory video on animal adaptations. Then groups of 3 students will be given one animal to research and will organize the information they gather in their designated page on the wiki according to the animal they are assigned. On the wiki page the students of that group will provide the information: what is the adaptation and how does it help the animal survive better in their environment.
Knowledge sharing: Students will share their knowledge with their classmates through the wiki pages accessible to all students. They will share their information with the community by creating a digital story of their animal's adaptation and uploading it onto the class YouTube channel.
